On December 18, 2018 our good friends at China Southern Airways held a gala event at The Millennium Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles. The occasion was the announcement of their new three times weekly route between Los Angeles and Shenyang. Shenyang, the site of so much modern Chinese history, is one of the biggest cities in China and the capital of Liaoning Province.
Flight CZ610 departs Tom Bradley International Terminal at 12:40AM and arrives in Shenyang the next day at 5:10AM. The flight provides all the comforts and elbow room found on the Airbus A330-300.
Mr. Hou Ming, head of China Southern Airlines for North America said, “The new Los Angeles flights will serve to strengthen and open new opportunities for economic, cultural and trade exchanges between the two countries.” Several top executives flew in for the festivities surrounding the inaugural flight on December 18th.
Steve Temkin represented LAGSCA at the event and was the lucky winner of a round trip flight to Shenyang!
